Alba Music Festival Academy is a unique opportunity to follow a high level education, while enjoying a prestigious setting and infrastructures totally adapted to the music education. Since 14 years, the city of Alba host the international Alba Music Festival, under the direction of Giuseppe Nova, a renowned classical music festival that attract every year international musicians and orchestras and students from all over the world. In 2017, Alba Music Festival will organize a cycle of a masterclass integrated into the summer festival creating the Alba Music Festival Academy, an opportunity to follow high level instruction from classical music masters. During your staying you will have the opportunity to attend daily evening concerts with guest artists or even to perform on stage.
The courses is divided in 3 sessions:
From July 8 to 13 and from 13 to 19 July 2017:
- Scheduled arrival and administrative reception on the previous day
- Start of classes on the 8th or 13th of July
- Departure scheduled on the 13th or 19th of July
From 24 July to 2 August 2017:
- Arrival scheduled on Sunday 23 July
- Start of classes and administrative reception on Monday 24 July
- Departure planned for Wednesday 2 August

The professors will give courses either at the address of the "Campus Center" or at the conservatory of Alba: Istituto Musicale Lodovico Rocca, Via Accademia 6, 12051 Alba. This recently renewed conservatory offers a room set that allows students to work individually outside class hours. The classrom and general conditions are ideal for a period of intense study and enjoyable relaxing atmosphere.
The Academy takes place during the music Summer festival “Suoni dalle Colline”, and students and professors may attend with a large and passionate audience the daily concerts that take place during the Academy period. Teacher concerts are also planned and articipants of the Academy of Music have the free access to all concerts. Students with the required level may also take part at the final student’s concerts, but need to apply at the time of registration.

SUNG HEE PARK voice
Since its international debut, Sung Hee Park, soprano coloratura, has performed extensively in Europe and Asia. She has participated in many prestigious events (250th anniversary of the birth of Mozart, ...). She teaches and gives lectures in several Korean universities and has been appointed ambassador of the Korean culture.
GIUSEPPE NOVA flute
Giuseppe Nova is considered one of the most renowned flutists of his generation. He studied with the famous Maxence Larrieu and graduated from the conservatories of Turin and Lyon. He holds Masterclasses and perform worldwide as a soloist with many orchestras. He is a professor at the Aosta Valley Conservatory.

CRISTIAN FLOREA cello
Cristian Florea, 1st prize in several competitions, was soloist of the Zurich Opera Orchestra and the Baden-Baden Radio Symphony Orchestra. As conductor and soloist, he conducted different orchestras around the world. Since 2010, he’s Principal Conductor of the National Chamber Orchestra of the Republic of Moldova.

FABRICE DI FALCO countertenor / sopranist
First prize of the CNR of Boulogne-Billancourt in 1999, and pupil of Rachel Yakar at the CNSM of Paris, Fabrice di Falco with his voice is the ambassador of the countertenor/sopranist repertoire in Operas, Concerts, Gala concerts. He holds Masterclasses to students fascinated by this male high register voice in all musical styles.
MIHI KIM flute
Diploma and CA of flute as a teacher, Mihi Kim performs as a soloist throughout the world, in parallel with her teaching career. She is a teacher of flute and piccolo at the Ecole Normale de Musique in Paris and at the National Music School of Issy-les-Moulineaux. She is a soloist of the Multilateral Ensemble.
MARIANNE MIAGAT voice
A graduate of the Reims Conservatory CNR (Jacques Herbillon), she continued her studies with Yva Barthélémy, Jane Streeton and Michael Dixon. Alongside her solo career, Marianne Miagat currently teaches at the Master courses of the CRR in Paris and at the CCM in Puteaux, but also holds Master Class in France (Flaine), Italy and Belgium (Bruges).
ANTONINO MOLLICA saxophone
Graduate and Saxophone Teacher at the C.N.S.M.D. of Paris, Antonino Mollica teaches the network of Conservatories "Artemuse" and the Conservatory of the XIXth arrondissement de Paris. He collaborates with orchestras such as the Orchester de Paris, the Monte-Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra and performs regularly as a soloist.
ANDRE SIMONY guitar
André Simony obtained his CA (teaching degree) of classical guitar in 1985. He taught at the CRD of Noisiel in Marne-La-Vallée and at the CRR of Saint-Maur des Fossés before coming at the present position as director of the CRI of Torcy. His artistic knowledge was influence by Masters as: Nisso Bitran, Maurice Delaistier, Gérard Iglésia, Christian Chanel and Marc Franceries.
